ABOUT

Sensual Desire is an artisanal woodworker from France who specializes in boutique, customizable, functional works of art. This is as far as you can get from a mass-produced, toxic jelly rabbit vibe - their toys are luscious, intentional, and unique, imbued with character by the craftsmanship lavished on each piece… Is it obvious I'm totally in love?!

I covered Sensual Desire and the unique properties of wooden adult toys in my previous review of the Twist dildo, so make sure to check that one out if you have questions about the maker and materials. For now, let's jump into the juicy stuff here!

This...is the Inmye.

If you've never seen a strapless strapon before, this is a very typical overall design. There is a basal "bulb" that is inserted into the vagina of the wearer; the idea is that this bulb rests within the vaginal canal with minimal effort once inserted. The curve here cups against the body, and this end...well, I suppose you can imagine how that works!

MY BEEF WITH STRAPLESS STRAPONS

The thing is, in my experience? Strapless strapons kinda suck! Yeah, I said it! I've tried the world's top strapless models over the years and have left feeling annoyed, embarrassed, and disappointed. Why?

They're not stable. I HAD to use a harness with them to use them with a partner. So the fantasy of not needing a harness remained just a fantasy.

So...Why aren't they stable? Two reasons.

  1. They're heavy. The Tantus Feeldoe weighs 376 grams, the Strap U Evoke weighs 333 grams, the Lovense Lapis is 315 grams… These are just examples but they are very typical of strapless strap-on dildos made of body-safe silicone. Silicone is a hefty material! Add in models with vibrators and the associated electronics and there's a lot goin' on in terms of weight the pelvic floor muscles have to support.

No matter how strong the muscles of one's pelvic floor are, weight is going to need to be counter-acted at some level. Add in lubrication, whether store-bought or of your own making, and that weight can start to slip, requiring more concentration and, let's say, finesse to keep the bulb in place.

  2. The second reason most strapless models are unstable is that they are mass produced and therefore one-size-fits-some. Compared to the average person I think I am MUCH more aware of my internal anatomy, and I know that for me, I need a longer "neck" in toys that I want to keep inside myself. If the neck is too short - the way it was for many of these other models I tried - my pelvic muscles have to constantly engage to counteract the weight of the dildo, and if you're trying to lose yourself in the moment, that's just not fun. Before you know it, your dick has popped out and gone flying. Literally.

So in sum, when I tried other "strapless" strap-ons, they were too heavy with too short of an internal neck to effectively and easily keep inside myself while using with a partner.

WHAT MAKES INMYE DIFFERENT

So how does the Inmye counter this?

Well, in terms of weight, wood is both incredibly strong and incredibly lightweight. The Inmye weighs in at 286g, at least 30g and up to 90g lighter than the mass-produced silicone toys! That means less strain on the pelvic floor muscles, without compromising on the strength and safety of the material.

In terms of anatomical compatibility, the Inmye is customizable. Let's take a look, and I'll explain how this worked.

You can get the Inmye in either cherry wood or walnut wood, and it also comes in small and medium Sizes.

You can also request additional customization - which I did!

Here's the photo I sent to Sensual Desire with my measurements based on, well, feeling around, and my experiences with other toys. He was basically like, are you sure? And I was like yes, I'm sure! And voila! A strapless strap on with custom dimensions just for my anatomy.

Okay, so the theory is sound. But will it blend??

Experience and Performance

I put on this strapon for the first time on video, actually. You can see that for free on places where such videos can be found. 😇 But let me tell you - it was magical. I am not exagerating. It slipped into place and felt like part of my body.

Are you trans by the way? Or have you ever fantasized about having a dick? Has your lube-covered strapon also rocketed out of your crappy harness, breaking immersion and even embarrassing you? If so then you KNOW what I mean when I say that it felt seamless. Locked in. Part of me!

The bulb rested in exactly the right place in my anatomy. I did not have to consciously hold it in place. And incredibly, it has perfect lateral stability as well. No twisting or slipping sideways. It felt...perfect.

I wore it for over an hour and walked around and amused myself and felt great. No soreness and, again, it was incredibly stable. It both felt great inside, didn't encumber me, and felt real as I used it alone.

Soemthing aesthetic I love that you can see if you look up my video elsewhere, is that while I am wearing it, if I bend over it looks like, incredibly realistic, like an enchanted penis with a scrotal mound, that has been turned to wood. it is so COOL. Ugh!!!!

Ok, so remember at the beginning of this video I said the Inmye has a hidden feature as well? Get this - it has a ball inside the bulb. If you've ever had weighted ben-wa balls, it feels very similar to that! So, while you are walking, or playing, the ball rolls inside and creates a vibration feeling on its own that is so incredible. No vibe, no battery, no cord. Just lofi analog beats you can jam to!!

Do you really really really need a vibrator? I also have good news -- you can order the Inmye with a slot carved for a bullet vibe. They really have thought of everything!

Finally, I want to point out that the Inmye does have a hole for a very charming lace, provided, for additional stability, but because it was so stable on its own, I have not had to use it so can't comment on its utility. It's great that it has this as an option. And without the lace it kinda looks like a cool body mod. :)

MY RECOMMENDATIONS

So....who is this for?

There's a lot of amazing adult toys in the world, and I don't presume to tell you whether or not to buy something - barring safety concerns. I can just give my advice based on being your very experienced hod-daddy who's looking out for you.

Here's who I think would benefit from this toy:

  • people who are comfortable with using their vagina while topping.

  • people who've tried conventional harness systems and want something different, whether functionally or aesthetically.

  • people who are interested in unusual, luxury, and handcrafted toys.

I would not recommend the Inmye to

  • someone who isn't comfortable with using their vagina while topping, or who has pelvic floor issues like vaginismus.

  • someone who's never used a strapon before. I think to get value from this type of toy, you need to know your own body and how you work as a top. Think of it this way: This is an Italian sports car, and to start you need a reliable little Honda to get a feel for the road.

  • someone who needs flexible or soft materials for partner play, since the wood is, obviously, neither of those things.

MY FINAL VERDICT

I'm not going to lie, I'm obsessed with this toy. It's something really, really special. And at the same time, it's something very, very specific. It's not going to replace every strap-on, there's a lot of room in my toy chest for variety, for different needs for different bodies and moods, AND I can say with certainty that this is one of my top 3 straps I've ever used. In design, craftsmanship, innovation, cusomizability, functionality, and pure aesthetics, it's top tier. And if you're a top ready for the sports car of strapons, this could be for you, too.
