I have... a lot of silicone. And like many of us, Bad Dragon was my first foray into the world of bespoke fantasy toys. Over the years I’ve come to deeply appreciate, and strongly prefer, toys from the so-called “indie” makers. But I respect that Bad Dragon has grown into a high-volume, successful, and fairly consistent toy maker, and it’s an industry leader in production and innovation.
And there’s one thing they do that’s very hard to find anywhere else...

Custom vs. Inventory
My Archer is a premade toy I picked up from Bad Dragon’s inventory shop, meaning I chose it from a lineup instead of custom ordering it to my specs.
Custom toys are pricier, and the big advantage is that you pick exactly the size, firmness, colors, and extras you want, like cum tubes or suction cups. Inventory toys are generally cheaper, and while you can’t change anything about them, you can use Bad Dragon’s inventory filters to hunt down exactly what you’re after. That’s how I found this one!
Design
Archer is actually one of Bad Dragon’s less fantastical models. The product page even shows stock photos in a gradient of skin tones. Archer is a THICK, humanoid shaft with a smooth but pronounced head, a lightly veined shaft, and hefty balls at the base.

I was very happy to snag it in the Night Sky colorway, a shimmery black-and-blue. I’m pretty picky about colors in my toys and I gravitate towards blues, so this one was calling my name.
Mine is a size medium in medium firmness, and it has both a cum tube AND a suction cup, which makes it a really versatile piece for me as a content creator!

Quality and Performance
This toy IS a flop, which means it has cosmetic imperfections and a lower price tag to match. I assess flops case by case, and here the flaws disclosed on the listing were a nick on the head and a widely trimmed space around the cum tube. Both were totally acceptable to me, especially for a toy with this many features.
The flaws were exactly as described in the listing, so no surprises there!
The pour is otherwise a good one. There are no unlisted defects, the cum tube is not loose or otherwise disabled by the rough cut around its fitting, and the color is really nice — subtle, and packed with glitter for a mysterious sheen!
Experience, or, How did it actually feel when I used it?
Okay, so... what’s it like?
So for full disclosure, this toy is WAY too big for me in any hole! Yikes! 🥲 However, I have tested it while topping and while using the cum tube.
Medium in a toy this size is great for topping; it’s firm enough to be stable and reliable under pressure, but soft enough to be accomodated by more tender holes. I have to use a very large o-ring to strap this on, and it is heavy, meaning I have to use my Real Hardware tm (leather harnesses) to wrangle it. Even then, the balls dangling pose a bit of a hazard to movement and create a back-and-forth swing that can be mildly annoying depending on the amount of lube you’re using and how precious you feel about getting lube everywhere. ;)
The suction cup is surprisingly very powerful, and the cum tube performs well, pushing loads of my goopy X-lube concoction easily.
Based on the slight instability with topping, I feel like this toy is actually best suited for folks looking for a big friend for solo play!
Materials and care
Bad Dragon makes their toys from platinum cure silicone, which is the gold standard of adult toys because it’s versatile, body safe, waterproof, and easy to clean. I always wash my silicone toys with soap and water! Cum tube toys need a little extra love: I flush the tube using a syringe and warm soapy water until visibly clean, then again with clean warm water to clear out soap, and then I leave the toy with the tube dangling so it can dry out before I store it. Store in a cool, dry place, and keep silicone away from toys made of other materials like PVC.
Packaging
I’ve bought many toys from Bad Dragon and shipping is always in a discreet brown box without any obvious markings. Toys are shipped in sealed bags and come with little goodies like stickers, squishies, and sundries!
Cost
Buying flops can be a great way to save money. A medium/medium premade Archer is currently $130 in the Bad Dragon inventory, whereas a flop with the same specs is $104 — that’s 20% off! Make sure to read flop listings very carefully so you understand exactly what you are getting; it would be a real shame to get a divot in the head when the head is your favorite part! However, if you’re more just curious about a shape or size and want to try it out, a flop would be a great option to save a bit on investing in that exploratory experiment. :)
Of course, if you know exactly what you want, a custom order is an option for a premium price!
Remember, your cost may vary a lot depending on where you live, so factor in shipping and customs fees when tallying up your cart!
FINAL WORD
If you want messy visuals and maximum versatility on a budget, a Bad Dragon flop with a cum tube and suction cup is hard to beat. And Archer himself? Well, he’s a nice all-rounder but best suited for size queens looking for solo adventures!
