CHARITY

I believe strongly in the principles of mutual aid and community support. Whenever I am able, I support organizations that do good work in the world and/or which redistribute wealth - or I give directly to my peers when they need help.

I am not so financially healthy that I can turn down direct support myself. However, if you’re looking to give even further, these are organizations, groups, and charities that I myself support when I can.

  • Flatbush Cats. TNR program for Brooklyn.

  • Wikipedia. Open source information, by humans for humans.

  • The Internet Archive. An archive of, well, the internet, including paywalled articles, books, and the Wayback Machine.

  • De Poezenboot. It’s a cat shelter on a boat! I adopted one of my boys here!

  • Erowid. Drug information, archiving, harm reduction.

  • Free Speech Coalition. Doing EXTREMELY important work bringing cases to court to protect freedom of expression!

  • Woodhull Freedom Foundation. Another group advocating for freedom of sexual expression.

  • SWAID Vegas. A mutual aid group and fund which distributes financial aid, contraceptives, harm reduction supplies and other materials to the SW community.

  • PIC Amsterdam. A local nonprofit that hosts arts, outreach, workshops, education, peer support, and more for all SWers. A lovely place.
